Edmund White’s A Boy’s Own Story: The Graphic Novel brings the struggles of sexual identity as well as the difficulty of being a child from a broken family and seeking love in an anything-but-stable world. Over 40 years later, it is being adapted as a graphic novel by co-writers Brian Alessandro and Michael Carroll and artist Igor Karash. Edmund White has authored many novels, including the classic coming of age story, A Boy’s Own Story.
